Really wanted to keep this bike to compliment my 660Z but MIL now needs a small car :
It's a 2008 FE650, last year before they went to the 70 degree model. Did or replaced the following :
New sprockets
New vent boot between motor and frame
New air filter
Handguards
DRC Offroad mirror
Brand new D606 tyre on the back
Tusk fuel line installed
Spent R4000 on redoing the forks, stanchion replaced with fork seals oil full service etc.
Was serviced as well
Also spent about R1000 in getting the paperwork for this bike
What still needs doing :
Battery, never got around to installing a new one. Amazingly I can start it first kick from cold left footed ! Starter works great as I jumped it from a car battery to test.
Seal on waterpump, small oil leak from weep hole when getting up to temp. For normal short rides might not even be a problem. Waiting on spares from RAD.
Otherwise pulls like a train, 109kg 60HP. 3500km, 93 hours.
In couple of months I had it not been offroad with it even. I paid R32000-00 for it initially and will be making a loss whatever it goes for :biggrin:
Option 1 : Take it as is for R32000-00
Option 2 : I put it on the road and get a new battery R34000-00
