Demmit.
Those morons at Lotto pulled the wrong numbers last night.

I will try again.

This RFR is worth every cent, don’t take low-ball offers or settle for anything less.

Ok, so my question here is: who is gonna buy that bike??

I am by no means knocking the bike, or the price – is it a properly sorted piece of kit? Hell yes! Is it worth all that money? Most probably is…?

I’m wondering who the target audience is here? Because, everything I own, says the next buyer will definitely not go ride the Dakar on it.

So who is the next buyer? A millionaire collector, who is going to plop it on a showroom floor? Which, in my opinion, is also not right – that thing was made to be ridden like it was stolen.

But then again, a kitted out 890RR also goes for 300K+… So it’s 6 of the one, half dozen of the other…

Anyway, I will follow this thread with interest – see what happens.

GLWTS dude.
So the buyer is from the USA. Won't mention his name but he did Malle Moto this year and will do it again next year. Real adventurous type.

Was the 1st guy with positive response (showed interest 2 days after posting but obviously quite a bit of info needed for export) and had at least 5x other overseas takers ready. Ironically after committing to the deal I started getting takers in SA (would have been 1st prize just knowing the paperwork) but then already committed.

First thing to go for me would be those chopper bar risers o_O Otherwise looks properly sorted.

That was actually the exact setup for Tom and goes to show that Jan Staal not always to be trusted ;

Tom Claasen was a big guy, in frame, heart and spirit. Who can forget his epic Dakar where he walked back through the desert in the night, took parts off a bike he remembered was stuck out there, walked back to his broken bike, repaired it, and finished the race.

You are so right. A real yster who could ride a bike like he stole it.

This bike was prepped so lekka for him and I believe this 2008 race was going to be his swansong as he performed brilliantly with the 660RFR in 2007. Must have been a proper bummer to have it cancelled and guess the reason the bike took so long to be repatriated to SA from the UK.
Monster !!!!

Ridden one long long time ago. It is a sledge hammer with a carbon fibre handle and aerodynamic head. Feels factory and pulls like a D11 bulldozer on Pre workout.

Best KTM ever.

Jy sal verstaan want jy mag maar.
