So as most of you know you "need" a oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter on a R1200 engine.
The belt type does not work as there is not enough clearance around the casing.
I was servicing my GSA this morning and I don't have that "special tool", now you can go and whack the old filter full of holes with screw driver to remove but I have a 3D printer and will put it to use.
Pull out the vernier and start up Solidworks. Design took all of 5mins and print took 20mins.
Pictures show a useless belt type wrench and a nice KTM orange 3D printed filter tool.
Works like a charm. Just gives you enough grip to looses the old filter with your hand and tighten the new one.
