Mornin.
Thursday on my way to work, i accelerated to pass some traffic, the throttle got stuck (on the open position) hit the kill switch, and treid to fire the bike up again, and each time the revs run through the roof.
yesterday (first chance i got) i took off the covers to inspect what going on.
Checked throttle cable - nothing wrong.
Opened airbox - to check air flow sensor and found that the air filter is full of oil, and part of it got sucked into the airbox
Cleaned all that shit out, and hit the internet.
Oil in the airbox = counterbalance shaft bearings shot - this pushes oil up the engine breather hose and into the airbox (as per F650.com)
not starting: not too sure, as these to symptoms are not related according to the chain gang.
What i need to know is: what am i missing - even with the oil being pushed up into the airbox through the breather hose, the bike should still start and run.
Could it be that some of the air filter paper got sucked into the engine? and what effect would that have...
