The airfilter that is so easy to get to, is great.
On my 1190 and 1290, I always kept dust gaps. I Never ride in someone else dust. So the filter lasted long, and the intakes were clean after a dirt ride.
The 790 makes me worry a bit. With the snorkel intakes in the rear of the bike, in my opinion, there is always dust there, being kicked up from the rear wheel.
So its like constantly riding in someone else dust.
I did a 400km dirt road ride, and when I opened the filter today, eish wena!! Engine side of the filter is clean, so no dust came through. But before the filter, in the box, and the snorkels, it was scary dusty.
Took the paper filter out and klapped it on the rear wheel, just a cloud of dust
