I posted a question regarding the fuse blowing when using an external 12v compressor. Thanks Adventurer for the advice.
I then started digging around in a repair manual I downloaded a while back.
The 950 has two auxiliaries intended for the roadbook if fitted. They both have 5A fuse protection
When sitting on the bike, they are on the left side of the fuse box.
When one looks carefully at the wiring diagram you will notice that the far left auxiliary circuit is on the same supply as the headlight circuit which is protected by a 15A fuse.
So then I deduce that upgrading to a 7A on that one should be no problem.
The second 5A could possibly be a problem as the supply also feeds the multi-function digital speedo and this is also on a 5A fuse.

My advice then, together with Adventurer for using a compressor, is rather then to use the far left auxiliary and not the second one if you want to upgrade the fuse to a 7A. All I now need to check, is what the wire size is after the fuse box ???
