990 HID kit

Have got me a HID kit from SWmotec. Thanks H.
Tried to fit it under fairing.
Cant get the balast like on the 950 in.
It is now in but not like I like it.Straped down with zipties and sticking out somewhat.
How hot does the ballast get?
Can I put it in the frame in front of the air cleaner.
Dont like the place it is sitting at at the moment..
Any ideas or pics.
