En as dit met die eerste probeerslag nie werk nie, gebruik 'n grooter hammer.

Ek't bietjie gegoogle wat kos oversize pistons... goeiste, ek wonder of daai pistons saam met 'n spaar enjin kom? Liewe etter, dis moer duur.

Kyk ek is gekwalifiseer om te praat. Ek het 'n Syncro oorgebou. Jy mag nie praat of kla oor kostes nie. Jy knyp oë toe en dink net aan daai smile eendag.

Put another way - how the hell did they shoe-horn that TALL motor, w-i-f attached radiator, into that baby little engine bay, crazy!

Yeah it was like a clown pulling a handkerchief from his sleeve, it just kept coming and coming!

Well the head is still not back from the engineering shop so I spent today sandblasting some more parts, and giving them a new coat of engine enamel. Somewhere among these pics is a hit of what color the engine will be...








This is just a few of the ones I did, do't want to bore you with too many pics. I'm loving working on this project, I must say.

I used to deal with a guy named Bob Croucamp, from Mini World in the northern suburbs of CT.

Helpful, knowledgeable and with lots of parts.

However, I think Bob has left this game years ago.
