I am sitting with a bit of a dilemma in making a choice for a new helmet. Few things that I require as I use it everyday:
- Needs to be XS in size
- Pinlock ready visor
- Sun visor or transition/photochromatic lens
- Big/wide enough to comfortably fit goggles
- Light weight, nothing heavier than 1400g preferably
- Budget about R8000, however if it ticks all the boxes perfectly will consider paying more.
Also just learned that the new safety standard needs to be 20.06 and not 20.05, otherwise customs have the right to keep it and I'll lose my money. Due to being a XS head size I basically need to import all my helmets, so this is important to keep in mind.
My current helmet is the Airoh Commander which is not bad, but can always be better.
Eager to hear some personal experience and suggestions.
