I have been busy with this bike for the past few months, its now at the closing stages. It was an RT but now is a mildly customized R. Its a bike I intend to sell.
During the restoration I have:
Bike was stripped down, frame, sub frame and wheels stripped cleaned and painted
Valve work, clean-up and lap
New top end gaskets, was stripped to clean and paint
Replaced crank shaft seal, front and rear
Forks, stripped and chromed - like new
Koni rear shocks
New headers
Customized:
Top triple clamp - required modifying the indicator mounts
Foot pegs
Removed the RT fairing
Fuel cap
Thats it
My question is, as I plan to sell the bike, and I suspect the most likely buyer would be someone wishing to customise the bike, do I bother spending another 6k on painting...or try sell as is.
