Decided a little while back to give my AT a bit of a rejuvenating facelift seeing as I have the KTM 640 adventure to play with in the meantime. The engine is still running smoothly so I decided to leave all things mechanical alone and merely repair/replace what looked tired. Anyway, first things first, I stripped all the plastics off and resprayed them black along with the tank, handlebar, side covers and some of the accent pieces. I am still undecided on the final look but the underlying coat had to be black.
I sent the wheels and hubs away for powder coating and had them re-laced with stainless spokes and new rubber. Karoo 3 on the rear and T63 on the front. Also had new bearings fitted and had them converted to tubeless by Cytech.
I serviced the forks with new oil and new black fork boots to fit in with the overall theme.
Here are some pictures of the progress so far.
