African Motorcycle Challenge May 2007

I have been looking into this African Challenge website for a few weeks now.
Wondered if any of you folk knew anything about it?

I am assuming that Sharkie from this forum is not the same Sharkie who is organising the Challenge?

Please forgive me if I seem cynical where Aussie motorcycling, it's popularity, and sponsorship is concerned.
I give you this example...few people here in Oz know who Simon Pavey is.
And he is Aussie, born and bred.
