I had a small accident with my 990R a few days ago. Only light cosmetic damage on fairing, windscreen, crashbar and left stock silencer.
Well, luckily the insurance are replacing all scratched parts.. ;D. So, the thing is, the left silencer has a replacement cost of R10k, so the insurance suggested to rather replace both silencers with brand new Leo Vince silencers.. :biggrin:
The other thing, I recently bought an excellent condition second hand set of Akrapovics.
So, my 'dilemma', do I fit the second hand set Akrapovics or fit the brand new set of Leo Vince's?
What is your experience with both?
I am also in 2 minds about selling one set and am considering to keep both for when I buy another 990 in the future.
On the other hand, the moola I can get for the second set will at least cover my insurance excess and pay for a few tanks of petrol..
