So my bikes are all getting a bit old now and the itch for a new bike is very strong, but then this week I took out my much beloved 2013 model ktm 690 with 60 000 km on and it absolutely ripped and reminded me why I love it so much. So my question is this, considering a new bike in that class is over 200k would it not be better to spend 100k on an amazing suspension system that will fit my 690 and my 500 (forks shouldnt be a problem but not sure about shocks) and then spend another 100k on rebuilding the bike to new spec which will leave me with the same hole in my wallet but with a like new bike with a really top class suspension that would out perform a factory new bike.
Or am I kidding myself?
Anyone been down this road before?
