Angola Doodsakker – without backup vehicle

Has anybody done the Angola, Foz do Cunene to Tombua without a backup vehicle? Weskus and I want to do this sometime this year, without any backup. I have done this trip solo in a 4x4, but that was back in 2005. Would like to know if there are any new refuel points, or camping sites.  Will be taking the most southern track through Iona park, towards Foz do Cunene.

Anybody who has done this recently, and can give some info, will be appreciated
