Another Airoh S4 Thread

Howdee.

I'm one of the plenty looking at the Airoh S4, and have a question. People's opinions are generally very good regarding this helmet.

...the Airoh S4 is not DOT approved but meets ECE 22.05 standards and also carries a British ACU Gold sticker...

What does this mean? Is this helmet safe enough to take on longish tar-trips?
