Driving to work this morning on Summit Road (R562) when a ADT Bakkie was cruising along at 60kph. A bit of traffic coming from the front, waited for a gap, checked mirrors, saw what appeared to be a 4x4 behind, but far enough away indicated and pulled out to overtake. Next moment there are flashing orange brights in my rear view mirror???
Obviously his (theGS) headlight was directly in line with the 4x4's headlight and he was invisible!! It would have helped had the orange cover been on the dims and not the brights but that is not an excuse, I just did not see him!
Luckily no one was hurt, but it could have been so different.
Just proves the point about being visible and making your bike light look different form car lights especially at night.
I did apologise to the guy at the lights at the R55 junction, but if you are here, sorry again :-[
