Will be in the market for a new lid soon and have come accross some opinions that internal visors weakens the overall helmet structure and/or result in a decreased level of available protection.
Some are of the opinion that wearing a helmet with an integrated sun visor means that in the event of a crash your head will encounter a second hit when the gap (where the sun visor sits) will be crushed.
Having an internal visor is cool, but I can do without it if the above is true.
What is your view?
