Around the country in 18 days BATTERY advice needed.

OK the day has finally come, my wife and I are leaving on our "around the country in 18 days" trip tomorrow and I need to know whether it will make any difference if I charge the battery overnight tonight and put it back tomorrow.

The reason I'm asking is that I ran the battery flat a while ago after experiencing some notorious LC8 fuel pump trouble. I then charged it for a few hours and put it back in the bike. I've ridden about 700km since.
My worry is the 1st 4 days of the trip is in the Karoo and Freestate and the early morning cold starts are a concern.

Will charging the battery tonight improve its performance over the trip?
