Today I did something I have been wanting to do for a while.
I wanted to revisit one of my late friends favourite routes and put some rocks on a pile for him at a spot where we had some very enjoyable wors braais in the middle of the road - “because the veld was too dry to take chances.”
We had some rain yesterday but as I went through Tradouws pass it dried out almost immediately. My route was Barrydale Vanwyksdorp, Rooiberg and Calitadorp
I saw some bikes parked in Seweweeks poort but didnt stop.
I erected a small pile of rocks at the Bosluiskloot/Gamkapoort dam turn off in remembrance of my friend and riding buddy Barabas who was taken way to early.
