“Hi, I’m Planning a camping trip to Baviaan’s Kloof, have been told that Geelhout Bos, converted labourer’s cottages are good to stay in, also locality wise, but EC parks say board that they are under renovation. L
Also found it VERY difficult to get other recommendations / info from the park’s office, so looking around for more info and alternatives campsites or self catering cottages. Thinking of using the camping site at Geelhout bos and want to know:
- Is the road suitable for friends who would be joining us in (non 4x4) car from Willowmore end.
- Is the Camping ground at Geelhout Bos pleasant (scenery wise – don’t really mind roughing it)
- What facilities are there?
- Are the Baboons a big problem there (I believe they’ve overrun the campsite at Rooihoek ) ?
- If no good are there other recommended (Private or Parks Board) Camping places or self catering cottages, near Geelhout.
