After much searching for the right boot for me, I have eventually bought what I think is what I have been looking for.
The Berik Mudlife offers just about the same protection as an MX boot, but it is not quite as high, does not have all the fancy plastic screw on bits, and seems way more comfortable.
The manufacturers claim that it is water-proof and from what I can see, they look as though they are.
Got mine from Motorcycle Centre in Pietermaritzburg for R1 400.
