Bike battery charging.... what is ok voltage? mine is on 14.5 whilst idling.

hey guys,
i had a battery place test the charging of my bmw xchallenge...
im so scared the bike might chow another battery.
they measured it, and it was on 14.5-14.6 avg....
the battery place says it need to be 13.5-13.6... a whole volt too much.
they say the battey could explode.
whilst there i phoned up bmw and spoke to the ehad technician there.
he says all the xchallenges charge at 14.5....
and says its normal and correct.

needless to say i bought a spare battery that im lugging around incase this one fails.

what would u guys say?
