I'm about to become the owner of a second KLR. The bike is to be used on the Kaokoland trip in October. Unfortunately it needs a bit of work, so I was wondering if any of you might have some spare parts which you want to get rid of. The bike is in Windhoek but Brakenjan and friends will be travelling from Johannesburg so they could bring the parts with them. I need:
1) Front rim (possible brake disc as well)
2) Left hand guard. It's the red and black model so it needs to be in red.
3) Luggage rack, especially the left grab rail.
I have no idea what the prices are like in SA. I can buy but some stuff off eBay but I'm not too keen on taking that along on the plane. So, if you've got any of the above parts or know where I can find them please let me know.
Also, is there anybody in SA/Nam who makes aftermarket pegs, bash plates and radiator guards for the KLR?
