BMW F650GS - Oil Change after 2000km in 2 years?

I bought a 2001 F650GS with 40,800km on the clock. The previous owner took it for a service at 39,000km about 2 years ago.


Question: Do I need to change the oil and filter based on the time passed and if I need to what grade of oil?
