I understand there are oke's on this forum that have enough moola to buy anything they want, including paying R6000 for exhaust without batting an eye lid.
With the price they ask for the new 1200's, did they cross the line from, expensive but still good value to being just plain blindly over priced? Yes I know all about build quality, the brand name, innovation and the first to add ABS/EBD/ASC/ESC/POEPOL whatever. A old 1200GS was sold for R124k the new one now is R126600-00, not much but still R2600 suddenly more expensive than last year.
Are they underestimating the market, thinking they price the bikes based on what the market are prepared to pay or cost plus mark-up? I can't think of many other bikes if any in that price bracket from other brands. And you still need to add panniers, and all your own personal stuff.
