BMW R1200GS and GPS

after my last sunday trip (2 weeks ago), I left the GPS power cable connected to the socket located under the seat...
last saturday I tried to switch on the bike but the battery was completely flat  ... Why??

For my point of view I had only added a meter of cable at the basic wiring of my bike... I didn't expect any dispersion .... ????
