Hi guys,
My KLR has developed a bounce at low constant speeds. While accelerating and at higher speeds the bounce is not that noticeable, but at any constant speed between 30 and 60 km/h the bounce is significant. No left-to-right movement, only up and-and-down oscillations.
I initially thought it might be tire balance, so I replaced the rear tire on Friday and had the HD tube in the front replaced with a normal tube (same tire refitted). Both wheels were balanced and refitted at JustBikeTyre.
The bouncing persisted after the tire change, so I did a bit of reading. Seems it can be any of the following:
Any tips/comments/additional things to look out for?

The bouncing persisted after the tire change, so I did a bit of reading. Seems it can be any of the following:
- Tire pressure (unlikely, but I'll check)
- Tire balance (unlikely - I witnessed them being balanced on Friday)
- Tire not properly seated (unlikely)
- Spoke tension and thus wheel truing (never checked, but never been a problem)
- Worn chain/stiff links (my chain is only about 15000 km old)
- Suspension issue (unlikely, fork oil is 8000 km old)
- Triple tree tightness
- Steering head bearings shot
- Wheel bearings shot
- Brake caliper catching on brake disk (possible, my previous set of front pads only lasted 3000 km!)
- Wheel alignment
Any tips/comments/additional things to look out for?
