Hi again, sorry for cluttering this board with so many questions...
I have a 2004 model non-ADV with servo brakes and ABS.
I started replacing brake fluid on the front brakes:
Bleeding hose on the front right caliper; pressure on the brake lever; loosen the nipple and closing it (while there is fluid still coming out); repeating the process while keeping an eye on the reservoir level.
The fluid that came out was dark brown and clearly contaminated. After I removed about 50ml I started to worry as the level in the reservoir isn’t dropping.
Then the air started coming out the bleeding nipple. Lots of air.
After 20 or so more iterations still no change in reservoir level and still only air coming out.
I’ve switched the bike on hoping the servo pump will help with the bleeding process. Same result. It pumps out mainly air with spurts of fluid. Repeated about another 20 times and decided to stop and investigate further in fear I may damage the system.
Took off the tank and noticed there are 6 bleeding nipples on the ABS / servo / pump...
I am at a loss. Any advice will be appreciated.
