If we lived in a perfect world, and you could do anything you wanted, what would your dream DS bike look like?
Mine would be something like this.
800cc v-twin engine (ideally the XRV750 engine bored and stroked to 800cc's)
6speed gearbox with ultra low first gear and wet clutch
shaft drive (difficult on a v-twin due to the engine layout)
21inch front wheel on DID rims
18inch rear on DID rims
telescopic WP front forks with progressive damping, as found on the KTM640
Ohlins rear shock with swingarm by BMW as found on the HP2
25liter plastic tank (not steel, its heavier)
1 round headlight
digital odometer and analog revcounter, nothing more.
narrow seat, but shaped, not square
braced rear subframe and space for possible pannier attachments
920mm seat height.
weight not more than 160kg dry.
