My first bike was a honda z50 when I was 10.
Then a honda XL175 in high school and university.
Took a break for twenty years then bought a '82 Yamaha XT550 when I moved to Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada. Learned how to ride again on that bike exloring the gravel roads and single track logging skid trails deep in the back country. Moved to the Canadian prairies recently and added a '07 BMW Dakar to my garage.
I bought a plane ticket to Johannesburg for christmas and plan on renting a bike and riding around for a ten days or so. I'll be reading and learning from your site and may ask a few questions to plan my trip.
