Just putting this out there.....
I've recently fitted emulators to XRV750 forks. The difference in high speed damping is really noticeable, with the low speed and rebound damping not really being affected. Offers a really plush ride, and more control over bumps.
The reason for posting here is that they are from an Aussie outfit, and are designed for DR650 - it seems that the XRV forks must be the same diameter, so they work on that bike too.
A bit on the pricey side landed, but, along with progressive springs fitted some years back, the result is the best upgrade that I have had on old school damper rod suspension.
I chose these one's over the racetech gold emulators, as these one's don't require any modification to the damper rods (you have to drill out the rods if fitting the racetech valves.)
Expensive, but cheaper than replacing the front-end.
