Hi Guys,
I have a 2005 Fugly when I bought it on 19000km I replaced the front sprocket and chain with an x-ring chain from full throttle and a 16t front sprocket from doc I never changed the rear sprocket as it still looked new and still does.
Now 10000km later and the front sprocket is quite badly hooked.
I am very diligent regarding oiling my chain, although I used to use chain wax and then switched to gear oil as I was and oil my chain weekly and sometimes even daily esp if I was playing in the quarry at work (don't tell the SHE officer)
I have always kept the chain on the loose side is it posible that I ran it too loose that it started running up in the splines or groves and can this also cause the hooks on the front sprocket?
If I pull on the chain on the back sprocket it bearly comes off the back sprocket? will try measure about 10 links this morning and compare with online specs
The chain itself has no tight spots and all o-rings are still intactI Will try run another 2000 or 3000km before I change as I have to do valve clearance and tyres first
thanx
