Charging the battery

Hi Guys

Is it bad for the electronics to put the battery on trickle charge without disconnecting the battery? With the cold and my bike standing under the lapa I was thinking of putting it on charge, just to keep the battery charged.

During this cold my battery  lasts about a week? Is this normal for a motorcycle battery?
