Having a go through the maintenance manual of my 640; I notice that the battery, voltage regulator and fuse box, have been stored in some random way and hole has been cut into the air filter box; which I presume is for ease of access?!
What is the correct way the set-up should look like, as the maintenance manual does not actually state how/where the battery should be housed.
Note that I am not the original owner; so just trying to make sense of it all.
