Please book the 30th of May 09.
We, the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) Off-Road Chapter will be hosting a Run for the Son event. Run for the Son is a fund raiser project for the printing and distribution of the Bikers Bible. All proceeds from this day will go towards the Run for the Son Fund.
Ok, so what will happen on the 30th?
The event will be held at the Zambok Bar on the old Bronkhorsspruit Rd outside Pretoria (about 5 km past the old Riverside Mixer). Come test your speed / skill against yourself and other competitors!
* Those on enduro / mx bikes will test their speed and ability on the super loop, a 7.5 km track in the mould of a super cross track mixed with enduro cross. Riders will be timed individually, and will start 2 - 3 min apart.
* Those on adventure / dual purpose bikes will test their speed and ability on a specially created skills challenge track. Riders will be scored individually.
The timeframe for all this fun:
* 07:00 - 09:00
o Registration open
o super loop open for practice
* 09:00 - 11:00
o 1st timed session on super loop
* 11:00 - 13:00
o super loop open for practice
o adventure bike skills test start
* 13:00 - 15:00
o 2nd timed session on super loop (this session is dependent on number of riders, and closeness of top three riders)
* 16:00
o Price giving
Costs, and what you get in return
* R 150 entry fee
o access to super loop / skills track
o includes open sessions on super loop
o 2x timed laps on super loop / entry into adventure skills test
o event sticker
o entry into lucky draw
+ we secured sponsors such as World of Accessories, Country Trax and Touratech, to provide us with prizes for the winners, lucky draw prizes and spot prizes
o you will be able to see some of the latest model bikes on show
o compare your time against professional riders
o test your skills against Country Trax instructors
+ Additional laps on super loop at R50 for two laps.
* Prizes for the:
o top 3 riders on the super loop and skills test
o best placed lady rider
o mystery prizes for certain participants
Come join us for a day full of fun. Food and beverages will be on sale from the Zambok Bar. Spectators enter free!
