So SARS decided to afford me the opportunity to get some of my tax back. So I have a few things to do with it and over this weekend I was browsing Facebook and other markets to see what is available in the R55k max price class. Then I see other bikes like the Suszuki DL250 V Strom and BMW 310GS at under R70k and I start to get confused.
I had GI JANE my KLR. Loved her, but she gave me a lot of shit. Then I had Candy my 2007 650 V Strom which I sold as I did not ride that much and I had to use the money when i bought my house.
Now i am very confused about what I want. All I know is I don't want a heavy bike. I am 100kg and ride alone so hopefully the smaller CC should not be a problem.
What am I to do? Saw the thread of a new vs old bike too. How much is age and kilos really having an issue?
Is BMW really so expensive compared to other brands when servicing? Spares I know can be costly?
I am open minded about any brand as long as I have a comfy seat.
