Dakar Appreciation

It's holiday time, and what better way to spoil your dakar with some time doing what it loves most.

But first, we had some fun ourselves...

altough 30km on R200 gar aint funny at all,

Now the fun starts,

There used to be this huge sandpit play area next door, unfortunately, it is now being developed into a golf estate.

Pity, but no greens or fairways.. else i would not be complaining.

Then after checking our the roads being built, i found some sand... proper sand, like the cape boys have.. not the jericho river sand.

Now the fun starts....

I really enjoyed riding the sand... although there are no long stretches, the little sandpits that there afre, makes for interresting figure 8 tracks, balance & throttle control gets tested, as well as confidence...
I fount that not trying to steer the bike too much helps.. just let it sort of go.. but counterbalance and being ready to put a foot down and help the bike along...
