Had mine replaced by BMW under warranty on 15162kms, now on 18300kms and the notchiness has started again... :-[ BMW will replace again as from the first time they replace them they give you a 1 year warranty on the replacement parts. But after that you are on your own... (Made me smile when he said that... So only the first spare carries the warranty even if it is replaced... 8)
Why would they go so quickly?
1. I ride mainly gravel
2. I wash my bike after every ride (gravel)
Will have BMW do it until the year warranty is over and out but damn every 3000km in the future is gonna be a pain in the butt...
