See attached pic. I haven't opened the tailpiece for a while and was shocked to see the cross-member of the tailpiece frame has failed completely in two places. I know what it is: I have a BMW topbox that is always on the bike, even when I do bad gravel roads and dirt.
It's always vibrated violently and I was afraid that something like this will happen. I've gone to great trouble to ensure that the box fits snugly (i.e. no play).
Design flaw, I think ???. Not sure how to fix this.
