I stopped reading at 'pressurized' ..... which is old fashioned, costly, dangerous and superfluous.
MSR please....

Please, in my view the MSR is a pipe dream currently. I would not mind having the billions pumped into the failed PBMR / MSR project in my bank account. It has been tried a dozen times, it stumbles often on cost per KWh, certification from the nuclear authorities (it does not fit the existing codes and you want to rewrite them). 👍

Don't tell China & India please, they have working plants.
This principle will revolutionize the energy sector, the world will be queuing to buy these from them.
Oh, fairly abundant fuel too!

But agree, forget Pebble Bed jokes (y)

We shall see Burp, operational versus economically viable. (y)

  • Some MSR designs might be modified to make a breeder reactor able to produce weapons-grade nuclear material.[12]
  • The MSRE and ARE used high enrichment levels approaching the levels of nuclear weapons. These levels would be illegal in most modern regulatory regimes for power plants. Most modern designs avoid this issue.[13]
The above from wikipedia

A political master stroke? Does appear to be independent and possibly to avoid any meddling internal backslash from within.

Mr consult seems to have found his back bone. If popular opinion is to believe he had none.

"All of them said the president has taken a decision on his own and I said OK, sometimes you say I consult too much, then I take a decision and you complain.

“I just said that is your problem. Sometimes I will not consult and sometimes I will consult and I said you better get used to it, this is how I am rolling now,” he said to loud applause and laughter. "

"He said when he decided South Africa should have a minister of electricity, “I hadn’t even briefed my colleagues and comrades in the ANC”.

"Kgosientsho Ramokgopa was sworn in as the minister of electricity recently when Ramaphosa reshuffled his cabinet, adding two ministries to his already bloated cabinet.

It was reported at the time that some in Ramaphosa’s inner circle were taken aback by Ramaphosa's announcement during his state of the nation address in February. "

Ramaphosa had to slip in his favourite as "minister of electricity".

Imagine how the trough vreters would have lined up if Ramaphosa first "consulted" with the comrades in the ANC.

Master stroke?
Backbone?
These are big words, even for a CR and ANC fan boy, such as yourself.

Fokkit, if this jelly fish axed half of his useless cabinet, one could perhaps use these terms.

Exactly. He seemed to have acted in independent authority, which is exactly what the whining has been all about. Not strong enough to make decisions etc etc, missing incredible amounts of detail and politicking that has brought Cyril to the top, a couple times.

Cyril really seems to understand the system better than anyone else and has played accordingly. Sure moering everyone and chucking them all out sounds wonderful but it's just not possible. Unless of course you throw the country into anarchy. These guys are all entrenched in it.

That's why it's called entrenched corruption. Nothing Ramaphosa can do about it, as he was as involved over so many years that all now have dirt on the other.

Jeepers, Cyril has done more than anyone alive today on corruption, to the determent of his own party. NPA, courts, Zonda commission and endless things.

Which corruption was Cyril involved in?

No , nothing whatsoever.

He became filthy wealthy through sheer guts and management skills.

It's only now that he's president of SA that he has lost all those skills.

But.....he single-handedly, and without consent of his comrades, appointed a minister of electrics.

POOF!!

Great, so not corrupt, just you that 'knows'. He took his opportunities as would anyone re his wealth. Only you would lay down your wreath of solidarity with the poor and say no on a matter of principle.

Sounds like to me he acted independently, probably to outmanouver some political pressure, from within the ANC itself. Slim, and bizarrely exactly what you were complaining about last week. No spin, can't make decisions, a puppet etc etc. Now that happens the complaining just changes gear.

Awesome. Have a lekker day.

Your first paragraph speaks volumes on your own principles, and explains your non-stop defending of the rot.

What you deride, is actually exactly what SA desperately needs, a black politician with principles.

One that would, "lay down his wreath of solidarity with the poor and say no on a matter of principle".

Yes, you need a saviour, I need some sensible steps in the correct direction and sensible leadership. We have that in Cyril. Heaven forbid it was David mabuza or any number of politicians he has laid waste to. 😉

The only thing that is constant is your ability to complain, and trying to hang responsibility on everyone else.

I'm not defending anyone, just stating what I can see and verify.

So far you verified Kopdoek, the Hatman, the Couch man, and several other losers.
