Ok, another oddball project complete.
Brief:
Design and build a rack system that could carry up to 4 tyres. Anything from 13" to 18" and 4x4's. Max weight will be around 60kg. Quick load and unload. Access to the underseat cubbyhole for documentation.
Product:
Light, strong, adaptable rack. Lowest possible COG. Quick secure strap points to hold cargo in place. Tiltable 'table' to access cubby even with two tyres on. (Two lockable latches)
Test:
Mike took the scoot out on a bumpy street with speed humps and all to give it a 'shakedown' with four moerse wide 18" tyres.
Result:
Passed with flying colors. Might do a few 'upgrades' if the the product go into production to make even more versatile.
