Ok, I know I am going to regret posting this here, but I need the info, so here goes:
The service at the gas station was a bit slow... so I did it myself, only to be told that I was busy putting in Diesel. As there is no drainplug on the fueltank of a Dakar, the entire tank was drained with a pipe. Tried getting most of it out and it looked quite empty (obviously still a LITTLE bit in the bottom). Refilled with petrol, shook the bike around to mix the 2 and then started her up (did not start the bike while the diesel was in the tank). The bike ran perfectly without any loss of power etc.
My question: Seeing as the diesel that might still be present in the tank is such a small % of the current fuel in the tank, is it necessary for me to clean out the tank again?
