Not DS related, so i have not posted under ride reports.
This is more for the older bike enthusiast ;D
This weekend, The Peter Hall Transport Museum held it's second annual DJ Memorial ride. This is a small ride and memorial service held in honor of past on participants.
Info on the DJ run here: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=15379.0
There were about 30 bikes that had entered, from 1927 to modern day bikes. Each participating rider was riding on behalf of a past rider. A plaques was mounted on your bike, and then at the end of the ride, a small ceremony was held and a plaque was mounted on the wall for each rider.
A good turnout of bikes :ricky:
Preparing the route schedules
This is a man that bring back many memories for me, very popular in his time:
I rode on behalf of a gentlemen by the name of Frank Galloway
His daughter was there and i handed over my plaque to her. I think she was rather proud that her dad had been remembered in this manner
The wall after the ceremony
And finally, flying the Wilddog name high :ricky:
