When we used to do warp speed on the mountain roads of ET we made it a rule not to partake in any alcoholic beverages while on the bikes , When the bikes were parked for the night we would have a beer or two but it was also frowned upon if one was to over indulge !
But as time moved on , the group dissolved and I did most of my riding with just my partner . We would not make it a habit but would have a drink at our destination and get on the bike to ride to out accommodation ,
Life has its way and in the last couple of years lost some friends . Now if they overdid things I dont know , but the last passing was a very close friend and he left the pub , but did not make it home .
My Partner has aske me not to partake when on the bike , return to the way we always did things , keys in bike no drinking allowed , milkshake or soft drinks only . We never overdid things , but one drink is one to many , so I made a promise not to partake when my key is in the bike , meaning out on a days ride . when parked for the night I can have my beer or Rum ,
