Hi Dawgs

Picked up my ride this morning from Atlantic after the 10k service.  I asked them to check up on some nigglies and were told they couldn't duplicate them.  I am about to query an issue again, but want to get my facts straight first.

Have any other DOHC owners found that when the bike is cold, i.e. all the oil is in the sump, and it gets started, that there is a rattle coming from the cylinders.  In my case the left hand pot - always.  I am in the habit of starting the bike before I put my helmet on, to get the oil flowing through the motor prior to riding.  The bike always gets put on the centerstand straight away when I park.

Sometimes when I pull off there is a squeaky, rattling noise that I can only assume is the tensioner which is hydrolic.  In itself this is not to bad, but sometimes it continues for a couple of minutes or k's, i.e.  when I stop at my first stop and pull away it is still there.  It totally disappears when the bike is hot.  My concern it that the damn thing is wearing the tensioner while this is happening.  I don't want little plastic bits in my engine.  Anyone had this and what was the solution?

Is this 'normal'?

Next, i have had it happen twice that the steering lock refused to move at all.  It came right both times as I was about to call Assist.  I know about moving the bars a tad to move the key and tried everything including jiggling the key to 'loosen' the tumblers.  I am shit scared of ruining a ride because my bike won't unlock.  This is a minor issue though.  Just checking if anyone had something similar and what the solution was?

Thanks in advance!  :thumleft:
