Hallo fellow 1200GS enthusiasts.

It has been a while since I have posted on the forum. Part of my hat-in-my-hand issue today is mostly related to the fact that I have not given enough attention to my bike the last two or so years. It has been a blur, with ups and downs, near financial ruin to back on my feet again.

I have a R1200GS 2007 model with 75k odd kms on the clock. It was serviced regularly up and to about 2020. As said, I have not used the bike at all over the last two years and when I took it out of the garage the past weekend, I noticed the oil leak around the driveshaft seal. See pic attached. A mate of mine knows a guy who knows a guy that saw the pic and said that I need to replace the entire driveshaft. The cost of which is well over R10k. Could it not merely be a seal that has gone/perished with the time lapse? Or am I in for an expensive outing?
