before i get mocked for another "what bike" thread, just listen. both of these bikes have caught my eye of late, and i was wondering... as a weekend play bike, that might do some commuting and the odd mainly offroad trip, which would rank better in which categories. I mean, neither are the best option for the long haul, but both can do it... and both would make wicked commuters, and both would be lekker dirt toys... but what aspects of each would make them better in those areas?
on paper the DRZ seems to be more powerful, but the XR seems to have taller suspension... though, isn't the XRs suspension notoriously soft? DRZ has e-start over the 400's kick - maybe that makes the XR a better option for a play bike - simpler to maintain perhaps?
