Hi guys, gone are the days with fiddling with a new bikes carbs after installing a aftermarket exhaust pipe. Now its all electronic gadget tunings.
I recently started looking at the Dynojet Power Commander 5 or V and the Two Brothers Juice Box Pro for tuning EFi. Both these options comes with maps available for different pipes and headers and both are programmable with custom maps on Dynojet dynomometers and software for custom built pipes.
The PC5 are compatible with a Autotune plug-in to set its own map programmed to the PC5 without the need to dyno tune at a shop.
I think both PC5 and JBP are programmable for 10 maps each but only PC5 are changeable on the go with another plugin selector to the handle bars.
So instead of just changing a jet or 2 and maybe a needle in each carb and trying to sinc the whole lot, these little computer thingies that costs a shit load will sort your A/F , timing and trimming issues if the correct Fi map is loaded for the specific exhaust. Nice né?
My bike is still stock and I'm studying this from different forums to try and get everything in the right order for the new custom pipe build for my Versys soon.
Pls add any info or experiences that you have come across to this regard.
