Electrified tank bags

I am considering buying a tank bag after fumbling with gloved-fingers trying to undo weather-seal jacket zips for an entire weekend! Lost a couple of things, too, due to zips not being closed properly......

The "stuff" that I would carry with me would be cameras and accessories, cell phone and i-Pod. GPS can be powered directly off the 12v hella socket. Camera can last for an entire day, cell phone can last for 3...

Is this over-kill to fit an electrified bag? Would like to hear opinion from those who have and those who don't.
